After studying law at the University of Basel, Pietro Pezzoli started his professional career in 1990 at the tax department of the canton of Aargau as tax inspector with expert supervision of several municipal tax offices. Starting from the year 1994 he occupied leading positions in the tax department of various trust companies, such as Streicher & Brotschin Treuhand AG, Deloitte & Touche Experta AG and Arthur Andersen AG. From 2000 onwards he worked first for UBS AG and later for Credit Suisse AG in the Wealth Management sector where he supported entrepreneurs, wealthy private clients and family offices in legal matters and in the structuring of their asset allocations. At the same time he established at both financial institutions the services sector "Attorneys-at-law & Notaries" for the region Northern Switzerland.

Pietro Pezzoli is idealogically as well as culturally involved in the region of Basel, where he is in the managing board of the basel sinfonietta friends' association, member of the Reformed Evangelical Church Basel synod and member of the friends of Kunstmuseum Basel. If time allows, he dedicates himself to art, classical music and history.

Since August 2011 he works at International Trust Group (itag) as Managing Director of the business unit Advisory Services.
