Having completed an apprenticeship with Swiss Bank Corporation in Basel, Ms Mayer went on to gain a thorough grounding in the various aspects of retail and private banking, first as an assistant and later as a client advisor. An 18-month placement with Swiss Bank Corporation’s affiliate company Banque de Placement et de Crédit in Monte-Carlo allowed her to gain international experience and to complete her business education in private banking. Back in Switzerland, she worked as an investment advisor with responsibility for the Bank’s German- and French-speaking private banking clients. She also completed various specialized banking courses during this period. After 20 years with Swiss Bank Corporation/UBS, Ms Mayer moved to itag Portfolio Management Ltd, where she now works as a Senior Relationship Manager providing both portfolio management and consultancy services.
