It is already for the forth time that on April 23, 2009 the Economic Outlook of the International Trust Group takes place at the Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel. The event taking place each year in spring time gives the 120 personally invited guests (entrepreneurs, chairmen and CEOs of Northwestern region of Switzerland) the opportunity to discuss relevant and present economic challenges in an exclusive and closed circle.

In this year again itag has succeded in booking top-class speakers: Prof. Heinz Zimmermann, Ordinarius for Finanzmarkttheorie at the University of Basel and Member of the Board of our company as well as Dr. Philipp M. Hildebrand, Vice-Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) will be sharing their thoughts on "Variable compensation - Curse or Blessing?" and "Principles of risk-oriented Compensation Systems" with the guests.

 

In 2008 Dr. Jean-Pierre Roth (Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank) gave a lecture on the triggers of the financial market crisis and the measures taken by the Central Bank.

In 2007 three speachers illuminated the economic situation from a global, national and regional perspective. Dr. Walter Edelmann (Head WMR Global Investment Strategy, UBS Global Wealth Management & Business Banking) talked about "Actual Trends, Chances and Risks at the global financial markets". Prof. Aymo Brunetti (Head of Economic Policy Directorate, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO) gave a lecture on "Economic-political challenges for Switzerland". Dr. Christoph Koellreuter (Founder, Director and Chief Economist of BAK Basel Economics) talked about "Chances for the economic area Basel in the international competition".

 

In 2006, the year of the reopening of the Hotel Les Trois Rois, Dr. Klaus Wellershoff (chief economist of UBS) gave a lecture on the world's economy and its financial markets.
